Mavs Update exists to cover all the news, trade rumors, draft decisions, highlights, and off the court antics of your favorite basketball team, the Dallas Mavericks. Guest bloggers will occasionally join in, covering everything you want to know about the NBA and the Mavs.
Who writes for MavsUpdate?
MavsUpdate is currently covered by Aaron Phillips and Daniel Dessinger. We are currently looking for one or two more avid Mavericks fans to contribute weekly pieces. If you are interested, contact Daniel at daniel@culturefeast.com.
Why should I read MavsUpdate?
MavsUpdate will not be just another repeat of local sports news. We’ll definitely cover the newsworthy events, but you’ll always get something extra from our MavsUpdate writers: opinions. We love ‘em. We have ‘em. We want to share ‘em. If you’re reading MavsUpdate on a regular basis, it’s because you like reading and talking sports opinions. You probably take them as seriously as we do (i.e. we talk as though we could actually make our ideas happen).
You won’t always agree with us. That’s when you need to write comments and tell us why you disagree. This type of sports coverage works best when there’s a conversation between “expert” fans, like you and us. Together, we can brainstorm the Mavs into the championship. Once that mission is complete, maybe we’ll tackle the Cowboys.
